Brookes Students

Welcome!

St Ebbe’s in Headington is a friendly and lively evangelical church just 10 minutes on foot from the Gipsy Lane Campus (click here for map). A broad range of people make up our church family: students, families with young and grown-up children, pensioners, locals, young professionals, internationals and many others! We welcome people of all ages and stages of life including many students from Brookes.

Starting at university can be quite a daunting time with a new city, new people and a new way of life to get used to. Here at St Ebbe’s in Headington we’d love to welcome you to Oxford and to help you find your feet as you start out as a student.

We have 3 services each Sunday at 10.30, 3.30 and 7.30. Students are welcome at any of the services, though most tend to come in the evening – why not come along on a Sunday to check us out? We’d also love to invite you to a student supper after the 7.30 service on 26th September and 3rd October to give you the chance to find out more of what happens at St Ebbe’s and to meet some other students and the student team.

We really hope you’ll quickly feel part of the church family – if you do decide to settle at St Ebbe’s the best way to get involved is to come along to Focus which is our mid-week programme for students (click link for more info).

If you’ve never really thought about Christianity before, your time at Brookes is a great time to do that! Each semester we’ll be running a 7 week Christianity Explored Course to give you a change to ask your questions and find out more about who Jesus is and why it matters. (click link for more info).

For international students wanting to find out more about the Christian faith or to brush up on the basics we also run Explore on Friday evenings.

We really look forward to meeting you in person – do get in touch with Dave Reid who heads up the student team if there’s anything we can help you with. You can find out more about who we are by clicking here
