Find out more about Christianity
We want to make it as easy as possible for people to find out more about the claims of Jesus Christ so we run a variety of events and a number of courses. We hope that you’ll enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, feel free to ask your questions and keep thinking!
Courses at Ebbe’s Central
LIFE
LIFE is an Alpha-style course for anybody who would like to investigate Christianity for the first time, or just brush up on the basics. In a relaxed setting it addresses the questions of how we can know God, who Jesus Christ was, and what it means to follow him.
What is an evening like?
The rest of the evening comprises a talk on an aspect of Christian belief, as well as plenty of time for discussion and questions around tables. Everyone who joins the course is given a free copy of Mark’s gospel (one of the records of Jesus’ life) and you are invited to check out the claims of Jesus for yourself. There will be a couple of Christians who will try to answer questions and facilitate the discussion.
How long is the course and do I have to come every week?
The course runs for 5 weeks. You don’t have to sign up for the whole thing: by all means come for one evening and see how you get on.
When and where is the course?
The course starts at 7.45pm on Tuesday 4th May at the Camera bar opposite St Ebbe’s Church in Pennyfarthing Place.

Christianity Explored
Christianity Explored is an Alpha-style course for anybody who would like to investigate Christianity for the first time, or just brush up on the basics. In a relaxed setting it addresses the questions of how we can know God, who Jesus Christ was, and what it means to follow him.
No-one is asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and you can ask any question you like. Or, if you prefer, you can come along and simply listen.
