International students

midweek groups for internationals

International students make up an essential part of the St Ebbe’s church family. Wherever you are from in the world we would love to see you at any of our Sunday services and trust that you will find a warm welcome. Many international students gather each Monday evening at iFocus in order to join together to know Jesus better and be equipped to make him known in Oxford. Why not come along?

Or, if you are new to Christianity and keen to think more about who Jesus is and what it means to follow him please join us on Tuesdays at Explore.

iFocus exists to help international students to grow together in their devotion to the Lord Jesus, love for his people and passion for his mission in Oxford and round the world. We get together at St. Ebbe’s on Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30 to eat, sing, talk, study and pray. iFocus is more than a meeting, we long to be a community that shares our lives and the gospel with each other and engages together in God’s mission here in Oxford.

God, and his word is at the centre of our life together, transforming the way we worship, growing us together as followers of Jesus and equipping us to impact the world. This year we will be getting into Mark’s gospel, looking at Mark’s account of Jesus life. Email Ali to find out more, or come along to St. Ebbe’s main building on any Monday during Oxford University term.

Explore: Each Tuesday evening from 7:15-9:30, a group of international students (and a few British people too!) meet up in the St Ebbe’s sitting room to eat together, get to know others, and think about the essential beliefs of Christianity and their relevance today. This term we will be looking at the account of Jesus’ life recorded in John’s gospel. Email Ali to find out more, or simply come along on Tuesday evening.

We meet at the St Ebbe’s Rectory, 2 Roger Bacon Lane (between the Westgate Centre Sainsbury’s and St Ebbe’s Church).
